Are you looking for a hotel in Rome for the beatification of Pope Wojtyla?
It is now official, on May 1, 2011 Pope Benedict XVI will preside over the process of beatification of Karol Wojtyla, thus honoring the 27-year pontificate that marked the history of the Church in the XX century.
In the Saint Peter’s Basilica, the works for the construction of a tomb that will be hosting the remains of the Polish pope are almost completed; the remains will be transferred from the Vatican Grottoes to the central aisle, right next to the Pieta’ by Michelangelo.
The date chosen is no coincidence, as it is in fact the second Sunday of Easter, which Pope John Paul II himself dedicated to the Divine Mercy, in honour of the Sunday after Easter.
Access to the ceremony will be free.
When staying at our hotel you will also be offered the opportunity of some really interesting excursions from a religious point of view; we are indeed right on the Via Francigena, an important street travelled by thousands of pilgrims on their way to Rome, having an immense historical and artistic value.
